Corrosion-Erosion Performance of Recycle Pump Materials Exposed to Flue Gas Desulfurization Slurry in Fossil Power Plants
In recent years, power plants have experienced premature failures and severe degradation of metallic and nonmetallic flue gas desulfurization recycle pump internals, often leading to costly plant outages. This study examines the resistance to degradation of various commercial flue gas desulfurization recycle pump materials, including 10 white cast irons and three nonmetallic coatings.
