Validation Protocol for Wind Turbine Monitoring: Technical and Business Value Assessment of Wind Turbine Health Monitoring Tools
Monitoring of wind turbine heath is critical for reducing unscheduled maintenance costs, but there are no standard procedures to validate monitoring technologies. This report discusses such a protocol developed by EPRI.
This brochure discusses highlights from EPRI’s first annual Renewables Operations and Maintenance Innovation Workshop, which facilitated knowledge sharing among wind and solar asset owners and operators while identifying collaborative research opportunities.
To demonstrate the viability of augmented reality for power generation operations and maintenance activities, EPRI commissioned a software development firm to create an augmented reality demonstration using a mockup of a virtual industrial pump and valve assembly. This report summarizes the project and discusses lessons learned and best practices developed.
