Steam Generator Management Program: Investigation of Onset of In Plane Fluid Elastic Instability in Air Flow with Simulated Tubes
In-plane fluid elastic instability is a type of vibration induced by flows in tube bundles of nuclear plant steam generators. It has resulted in unstable displacements of the bundles. This research examines parameters and configurations that make the tubes more susceptible to onset of this vibration.
